Hospice Veterans' Partnership

Like the VHA, Unity Hospice is committed to the compassionate and humane care to the terminally ill veteran and veteran's family. As a United States Veteran you should know Hospice and palliative care are now included in the Medical Benefits Package for eligible enrolled veterans. While many aspects of hospice activities have been incorporated into their approach to the care of terminally ill patients in the past, a formally structured hospice program provides the opportunity to focus our efforts in providing compassionate care in a timely and coordinated manner. Hospice and palliative care optimize the comfort and dignity of the patient through the effective management of pain and other symptoms.
The Unity team works with all VA medical centers in our service areas to assure that hospice care is made available to all enrolled veterans who need and select this type of care.
