ST. LOUIS – This holiday season, Unity Hospice of Greater St. Louis is giving back to their community. Employees collected primary care items including tooth brushes/paste, soap, shampoo, washcloths, etc. and donated them to homeless families and youth in North St. Louis City.
Otis Woodard, Founder of Lutheran Outreach St. Louis, has provided housing for homeless youth and families in
North St. Louis City for over 40 years. His mission is to provide food and shelter for people on the street, and essentially be a voice for the poor. Unity Hospice wanted to provide them with hygienic items that they have not had the luxury of using for a very long time. Woodard was more than grateful for our contributions.
Each year, Unity Hospice participates in several community projects that positively impact their neighborhood. Employees select local organizations that they have a particular interest in and then collectively vote on which ones to partake in each season. In the past, such activities have included fundraising events, gift donations and volunteer projects.
