Merrillville, Ind. – Unity Hospice, Northwest Indiana’s local hospice company, recently added Gretchen Pace, of Lowell, Ind., to its invaluable team as community relations representative. Administrator Ben Klein made the announcement.
In her new role, Pace will build and enhance relationships with hospice business partners, aligning the company for future growth. Her territory includes the Indiana towns of Crown Point, Dyer, Hammond, Hobart and Whiting, among others. Additionally, Pace will meet with families to educate them on hospice care as well as call on area health facilities to inform them about the care and compassion Unity Hospice offers patients with a serious illness.
Prior to joining Unity Hospice, Pace served as social services and Alzheimer’s director at a Merrillville nursing home for five years.
Pace received her bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Ashford University – Clinton, IA. She also received her certification in dementia management and is a leading educator and speaker on dementia through her affiliation with Teepa Snow. An Iowa state native, Pace currently lives in Lowell, Ind., with her husband and four children.
