CHICAGO – Unity Hospice today received a deficiency-free rating on its regulatory survey for its Chicago Office as conducted by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
It is not a common occurrence to receive a clean rating, as Unity Hospice has achieved. This survey reviews hospice programs in their entirety, ranging from patient care to operational efficiency, clinical and administrative paperwork, even down to volunteers.
“I am very pleased with my team, obviously,” said Chaim Klein, Chicago Administrator. “This finding demonstrates that Unity Hospice is profoundly committed to provide the best in every aspect of patient care. We are very honored by this finding, but we are still committed to improving the patient experience each and every day.”
As required by federal regulations, IDPH’s survey occurs every three years in hospice. The survey evaluates regulatory internal compliance operations, and has been an effective tool for IDPH to evaluate potential deficiencies.
Unity Hospice also received the “Top Workplace” award for the fourth consecutive year in 2018.
